Bob's performance styles

Playing to many different types of venues and audiences requires a performer to be versatile.  Bob has that versatility, and with his repertoire of over 400 songs he can adapt his gigs to suit the customer’s requirements.  That includes:

'Bob Reeves In Concert' performances.  Bob is becoming increasingly well

known and popular as a featured act.

Background music to suit your venue.  Bob is quite happy to be understated,

and create a pleasant ambience that helps your patrons to feel comfortable

   and converse discreetly.

Live music for dancing.  Bob’s repertoire includes classics that set your feet

tapping, so he is ideal for 'get up and dance' evenings.

Bob is a genuine entertainer with a good sense of humour and a quick wit.  He can be relied upon to provide an entertaining evening.

He typically plays 2 or 3 gigs a week, to venues across Norfolk including pubs, working mens’ clubs, British Legion clubs, retirement homes, and private parties. Many of these are regular bookings from highly satisfied customers.

Bob’s favourite music styles are country and rock.  His performances often include hits from the 60s and 70s, as well as his own songs and ‘old standards’. He covers classic songs in his own style, such as the Beatles, the Everly Brothers, Cliff Richard, Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Van Morrison, and Ronan Keating.

Equipment

Bob uses a Yamaha Tyros 2 keyboard.  Its capabilities means his performances are ‘all live’, not just singing to a pre-recorded backing track.  Click the image on the left to visit a microsite about this amazing machine.

For smaller gigs, Bob brings a portable Carlsbro PA system producing 100 Watts of sound.

For larger gigs, he brings a sound engineer to ensure a perfect atmosphere. Together they deliver excellent sound quality through a professional mixing desk and compact but powerful Bose amplification system.
