About Bob Reeves...
Bob’s love of music began as a child, hearing the wonderful tone of a church pipe organ. Piano lessons followed, but they were a chore… Bob hated having to sit and practice! Joining the youth section of the local church as a teenager allowed Bob to experiment with a guitar, and finally gave him access to a pipe organ. Gospel music awakened his interest. Bob still loves gospel — it’s music with a meaning.
A borrowed copy of Johnny Cash singing "Folsom Prison Blues" changed Bob’s outlook on music completely. It started a passion for country music that continues to this day. As a teenager he also played rock ‘n roll standards from the likes of Elvis Presley and Buddy Holly.
Bob began writing his own songs as a way of helping him deal with the breakup of his first marriage. His first album "Through Tears to Happiness" allowed him to channel his anger and frustration into musical expression. He gained experience of performing to an audience by fronting his stepson’s band in Tenerife, and has also sung at venues in France and Egypt.
After many years in business, Bob has now turned his musical hobby into a full-time living. Read about his performance styles to see how Bob can provide quality entertainment at your venue.
